Horseradish Cream Sauce

Serves:  10 – 12

1 pint sour cream
2 heaping tablespoons prepared horseradish
2 -3 teaspoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together, and add more horseradish, lemon, salt and pepper as desired. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy with beef tenderloin, prime rib, or a great steak.

Tony’s Tip:  Prepare at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor. This sauce is a great accompaniment to beef, and can be made several days in advance. Will keep in refrigerator for up to two weeks.

You had a recipe in the Fargo Forum in 2013? for an appetizer; Top Sirloin steak w/ horseradish sauce which I made and was a great hit. Could you share the recipe since I must have misplaced it. It was around Christmastime. Simply delicious! I have 2 top sirloins to use and would like to make today 12/20/14, if I could get that recipe soon. Thanks!

      Hi Rena,

I’m so sorry that I didn’t find your comment until today, but I hope that you were able to locate the recipe on our blog – it is posted in the “Meat” section under the RECIPE tab (which is located toward the top of the blog, in the menu bar with the Home, About, Contact and Videos options). Here you will find nearly all of the recipes we have shared in The Forum, as well as many others. If you are still looking for it, here is the link:

This is one of our very favorite recipes, and I’m so glad to know you enjoy it, too. Please let me know if you found the recipe in time. Best wishes to you and your family for a very Merry Christmas!

Hi Sue, and thank you for your question. The blog is a life of its own, and will keep on featuring new recipes as we create them. All of our previously published recipes will be available here, indefinitely, and we will be transitioning the current website at to a new, updated model sometime in July. We also have plans for more cookbooks, so watch for more news about this in the fall of 2015. In the meantime, if there is a particular recipe(s) you are looking for and can’t find, please let me know and I’ll be sure to send you a copy as well as get it posted on the blog.

Hope you are well and enjoying summer! Warmly, Sarah
